Before you buy, here are a few things to know about our .338 ARC platform.
We've tested our barrels with thousands of rounds to develop what we believe is the optimal 8" .338 ARC configuration. Our gas port sizing, extra-power action spring, H2 buffer, and wide extended feed ramps have been engineered to provide reliable performance with both suppressed subsonic and suppressed supersonic ammunition.
For suppressor selection, we recommend a dedicated .338-caliber suppressor or a large-bore hybrid suppressor. Many heavy-duty 9mm suppressors also perform well when shooting subsonic ammunition.
Similar to .300 Blackout, .338 ARC supersonic loads generate more gas volume and cycle the action with greater authority than subsonic loads.
If you primarily shoot supersonic ammunition, we recommend a suppressor with a lower back-pressure design to help reduce gas blowback and maintain a smoother shooting experience.
If you primarily shoot subsonic ammunition, a suppressor with higher back pressure can help maximize sound suppression while ensuring reliable cycling.
